(Sorry, but > the only way *I'm* not going to scream while pushing a lubenica through > my southern regions is if I'm tanked to the gills on the *good* drugs > at the time.) After hearing a nurse's snide remark, aimed at me, about French women in labour back when I was a student nurse, I had vowed that if I ever had a baby there would be no screaming. Three babies, no screams. After I'd spent some time in the delivery room I also realized that screaming just makes pushing much less efficient. Not to say I didn't whimper. ;o) The Scientologists don't believe in drugs for treatment of mental illness -- all that's needed is exercise and vitamins, don't you know. When a friend and I went for a 'free personality test' back in nursing school, we were told we needed their communications course (that's how they suck you in). When the one trying to recruit me found out I was a nursing student, he went on and on about drugs and mental illness. Today, knowing who & what they are, I'd say, "I agree, drugs are bad. I believe they should start right away with electroshock therapy." I'd love to see the reaction to that statement. Gabby . 0
