Agreed on the anger management classes, but not so sure on AA (although
"I could never give up, I'd miss it too much" certainly leaves the door
wide open for them to make his drinking an issue).

Since I didn't see any *other* basketcases hanging around the ER, you
know they will. As long as he doesn't wind up taking a bath with Rippy
the Razor, I suppose. (Still not a big fan of the pairing, but at least
their interactions seem slightly healthier than the last go-round. I
thought her reassurance that she'd still know him if he was severely
burned was kinda sweet. Possibly missing the point of his concern, but
sweet.)

Actually she did have the job for a while, but quit. And then later
Weaver foisted the job on Abby (because, as you say, nobody else would
take it).
