14a7 Subj : It Just Got Colder To : alt.tv.er From : darrenthornton Date : Fri Oct 07 2005 00:49:48 From Newsgroup: alt.tv.er Who else favors changing the title to ER: RFD? When Sheriff Taylor left Mayberry, only Aunt Bee stayed from the original cast. Even she didn't stay much longer. Tonight's episode was once again an improvement from the previous weeks. While that's encouraging, this show is still a shell of its old self. Luka and Sam continued to clash at work. She's taking the breakup fairly easy. It's nice that she's allowing Alex to hang out with Luka. Even better was not actually seeing real or fake Alex. Could we see her taking another job? Her new place must not be too far from County. Will Luka self destruct again? Once again the trailer was misleading. He still needs more anger management classes, plus AA. Camel used to advertise that more doctors smoked their brand. Could he and Abby get back together? I have mixed feelings about the new nurse manager. Hopefully her whole character won't be based on clashing with everyone else. Even Kerry had to learn how to work with the others. Talk about kindred spirits! How many new ideas does this lady know? Do a lot of nurses also have Ph.Ds? Andy Rooney had a point about only calling MDs doctors. A huge question remains. Can Kristen do drama? Will any of the old gang, especially Wayne Knight, show up? Her character showed some concern for the nurses and patients. I have yet to understand promotions in the ER? Shouldn't one of the current nurses have gotten this job? I often thought that Carol was too young to be chief nurse. This new lady mainly clashed with Luka and Sam. Yet other folks already hate her. Won't Sam complain to the union about the shift changes? Luka could volunteer to switch. At least we got Gallant in flashbacks. Frank was a little out of character. He often comes off as very self righteous. Tonight he used a bad word, and had a porno film. As I recall, pornography was banned during the first Gulf War. How about now? That pizza could have caused problems, especially if it had pork toppings. Neela still loves Gallant. What's with the Barry Manilow music? I've owned some of is albums too. Abby had a point about that serious look. Some folks look and sound like they'll break down and cry any minute. At least they kept the door locked during the photo shoot. In those leg shots, Neela was definitely wearing hose. Did she add them for the shots? I've been recently watching some Star Trek episodes on DVD. You notice clothes more. It looked like some women wore shorts under those mini skirts. Couldn't Morris be charged with being a peeping tom? He got what he deserved. Once again, he was super jerk. Reciting that Hebrew prayer could have caused more problems. He's not the only person to claim a certain faith in order to meet women. Some church singles groups are basically dating services. Ironically, a New Testament quote comes to mind. Jesus admonished us not to cast pearls before swine. Spare the flames! Abby was once again super doc. The transition between the photo shoot and her patient was choppy. Did something get cut out? She's so quick to advise patients to get certain procedures. How come the blinds in the oncology lab weren't closed? Mexico is often a cliche for quack medical procedures. I've never been there. But some of their health care must be good. One thing greatly bothered me. Obviously this woman had a lot on her mind. But I don't recall her even asking about the kid she hit. We got some good humor. There's an idea. If we keep watching, TPTB should give us some free ice cream. We had a Mister Goodbody clone. He was on Captain Kangaroo and PBS. His wife had her own costume. DeBunko was his usual self. Note that the doctors looked through the microscope. It was good to see Kerry again. Carter needs to give more money. The grant folks are back! Where can I get some of that money? Now she's back working in the ER. I find it hard to believe that there are some few attendings. Even when the original cast was around, they weren't the only doctors. This place never closes! That could change, unless they get better actors and scripts. Who was that other nurse? The interns were less annoying. Look for Neela to get a new place soon. What if she moved in with Sam and Alex? Ray needs to calm down some. Consider your roommates! Pratt's love life continues to thrive. Teach A.J. doctor stuff! At least Pratt wasn't fond of Adam's Ribs! Don't forget the cole slaw. Why not just send Gallant a recipe? We saw that on Hogan's Heroes. Danny Glover was back, via flashback. Pratt's girlfriend must have encouraged the reunion. What if we started getting Doug, Carol, Benton, etc. in the previously on ER segments? Would that increase ratings? Oh yeah, today was my mom's birthday. We went to my sister's house. I brought the cakes. My new great nephew was there too. Sincerely, Darren Thornton . 0
