14.4 million ain't cracker crumbs! And yes, comparing to past seasons isn't 
accurate as each year more and more channels and options, such as TiVo and 
other recording devices, have come into play. Ratings of 14.4M is not 
anywhere near where a show threatening cancelation would be.

You're right about this 12 year old show. Not many shows in television 
history have gotten to twelve year and certainly not with 14.4M at the 
season premier!
