I'm watching Faux news and they had a report 
by Shepard Smith where he went up to 
people on the street and asked them why
they are still there.

"Don't tell us what to do" were what some of 
these people said. 

I wanted to scream at the TV "we're telling you
what to do since you are too stupid to get
out of the way of FOURTH most powerful
hurricane to hit the US mainland.

The stom is headed for New Orleans, may
veer east or west but as an EMT my 
biggest fear now is we'll wake up Tuesday
morning and find thosuands dead.millions homeless, alot of buidling
destroyed,
many injured, etc.   

This is one of those instances where i'm glad
i'm not mayor or governor of these areas.
You tell people to leave and then
they scream when you can't save them
in the middle of the storm where everything
is being battered by 175+ mph winds, 
the roads are flooded out, power lines are down,


People in New Orleans will tell you they've dodged a
buttlet for the last 40 years.  The storms usually
veer away from  the city.   

So why haven't people realized that their
luck may be about to run out,  that you have to be
really stupid to stay out in New Orleans on Bourbon
street, that common sense would tell you if you 
can't get out of the state, get to the
emegency shelter at the New Orleans super dome.
After alll with 175 mph winds, alot of rain, etc there
may be very little left.  

These people were born with a brain, time to use it.

What part of stupid do these people not  comprehend?
