I remember hearing that old wives tale long before I got married and pregnant. My question? "Arms above my head is my normal sleeping position, how am I supposed to stop that??" I actually tried to find the connection between my arms and the cord that would cause that to happen -- never did figure out how they thought that was happening. Relegated that 'fact' to the same garbage bin as the one about getting TB if you took a bath or went swimming while you were menstruating. My father freaked when he found out I was in the tub after I started my period. He angrily asked my mom "Didn't you tell her what would happen????" I had to explain some facts to her. Gabby . 0
