It doesn't seem to matter either way, and the VIA web site has a "USB Filter" driver that, as it says, would enable the USB in Win2000. It's not really that important that I get this working on this machine, it just annoys and frustrates me that every operating system that I've tried that was made by Microsoft works very well but Win2000 seems to be the only OS that doesn't work as expected.
