I am trying to compile an earlier version of perl (5.004) on a Red Hat
9 system.

It keeps coming up with this error when I type 'make'. Configure works
fine.

make: *** No rule to make target `<built-in>', needed by
`miniperlmain.o'.  Stop.

I need this earlier version for a script to work.

Any help would be appreciated.
