I must have convinced myself wrongly at the start, years ago. With regards to networks, you've also resolved that, since I was trying to go:- chdir( "\\\\networkpc" ); instead of chdir( "\\\\networkpc\\folder1" ); I naturally thought that networkpc was equivalent to the Drive, not the PC itself. It returned error, so could go no further. It's not so obvious unless you actually have a network. I've now tried to set one up, but was unable to set up the other PC (Win95). However, I did manage to get my main PC to act as a network - on its own It might seem pointless, but it has allowed me to check my final code, since I can pass the string "\\\\networkpc\\folder1" and it does create the folder on my Local C drive. Hopefully it will also work on the customer's network PC. Do you think this is a valid test? (It's the best I can currently do). Regards Al. . 0
