Windows keeps many log files. I am using XP but it is similar to Windows 2000. When I did a DIR /S C:\*.LOG it showed 174 files. You might try a command line this to find out which log files to check: DIR /S C:\*.LOG | FIND "08/02/2003" You will probably have to do another DIR /S on the file names found to determine in which directory they are located. ..
