Perhaps these should be included in the FAQ? a) If your monitor has a 9-pin D analogue input: GS 15-pin male D plug-------monitor male 9-pin D plug 2 (red video)--------------3 3 (composite sync)---------7 5 (green video)------------4 9 (blue video)-------------5 13 (blue ground)------------1 You should perhaps also connect GS pin 13 to monitor pin 2 - but it works fine connected to pin 1 alone. For the record, the full signal layout of the monitor 9-pin D is: 1 - gnd; 2 - gnd; 3 - red vid; 4 - green vid; 5 - blue vid; 6 - n/c; 7 - comp sync; 8 - horiz sync; 9 - vert sync; shield - n/c. If the monitor has the built-in stereo speakers, the audio connection is by a separate lead - a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug at the IIGS end to the monitor's two RCA audio inputs. b) If your monitor has a SCART analogue input: GS 15-pin male D plug--------monitor SCART 20-pin plug 2 (red video)---------------15 3 (composite sync)----------20 5 (green video)-------------11 9 (blue video)---------------7 13 (blue ground)--------------5 If the monitor has the built-in stereo speakers with input via the SCART (ie, no RCA audio jacks), the connection is: IIGS end (3.5 mm stereo jack plug)---SCART 20-pin plug tip (audio L)------------------------2 body (audio R)-----------------------6 shield (audio common)----------------4 However, I've found that the audio signal from the GS sound output jack is not adequate to drive the speakers (I don't know about a stereo board, I don't have one).
