     I have gotten the modem they sent with FAXination to work most of the
time, but I have yet to try the program itself.  Here are modem tips, and
some insight on software updates.
     I have a IIGS/ROM3 and use ProTERM 3.1.
     Intrec says Vitesse is sending them the modem so they can write a 14.4 
driver for it.  It will appear on Intrec's BBS.
     Vitesse says their BBS will be up by the end of the week, not March like
the letter they sent to us says.  They say they already have bug fixes ready
and even another version of FAXination.  One bug fix is 8-bit program hangs.
     As for the modem, I called Vitesse and they said there was supposed to be
an init string on the invoice.  It wasn't.  They told it to me on the phone.
It is:

AT&F1&C1&D2L0M1S0=0S11=50X4V1

     They said use it with the Generic 9600 Baud driver, because it wouldn't
work at 14.4.  When that didn't work, I called back and got another person who
said I had to use that init string with the ZoomModem V32 Turbo.  That didn't
work either.  So I tried the Hayes 14.4.  That didn't work.  Finally, I got it
to work most of the time with the Generic 14.4.  I don't know what speed it
actually works at though, and like I said, it doesn't work all the time.
     By the way, the modem is made by Aspen Peripherals.
