     One way is to go to the monitor and type-in the small machine
language routine listed below. Then BSAVE READ.TM.HEX,A$300,L$330.

     Your BASIC program begins with

 10 PRINT CHR$(4)"BLOAD READ.TM.HEX"

     When you want to get the current time just CALL 768 and PEEK(815) for
seconds, PEEK(816) for minutes, etc..      

     Machine code for a routine which CALLs ReadTimeHex and saves ...

Minutes:  $330  PEEK(816)
Hours:     $331  PEEK(817)
Year:       $332  PEEK(818)
Day:        $333  PEEK(819)
