The highowTLoc field is documented in Toolbox Reference Volume 3, but I can't see any mention of a change in the version number. (The original definition in TBRef Vol 2 says the version number is 1.1, or $0101.) The easiest way to tell if the field is valid: look at the offsetToMF field at start of the header. An old font will have a value of 6, and a new font with the highowTLoc field will have a value of 7 or higher. It is possible that the version was changed when this field was introduced. If in doubt, look at the header of an older font, and at a current large font that requires the highowTLoc field. -- David Empson dempson@actrix.gen.nz Snail mail: P.O.
