About the file archive types in these folders

Note: concerning any file ending with; .APF or .SHR  - plus .txt

These files are exactly what they say: IIgs graphics in Super-HiRes format, (made
available as standfard text files)

That's the way I downloaded them from AOL and that's the way they are uploaded to
these folders. You should be able to download them as text files, change the file
types to SHR type ($C1) and load them into your favorite IIgs graphics program. I
did and I had no problems with them loading and viewing them in my IIgs SHR
graphics programs.

Again, to clarify things please note: The files ending with (.SHR or .APF) also
have (.txt) added, which means they are standard text files. This allows you to
download them as such, retain the proper contents of the file and then change the
file type to ($C1) to load them into your favorite IIgs graphics programs.

Be sure to take note of which folder you downloaded them from; both 640 and 320
modes are used with them. If they don't look good as a 320, then try the 640
mode. If they came from a 640 folder- then that's what they are. Same for those
that came from a 320 folder - then they are 320 mode IIgs graphics format files.

If you have any problems with any of them - converting to a usable IIgs SHR
graphic (as I've noted above) you can contact me by email - with the file name,
which folder you downloaded it from and I'll convert it for you, then send you
the conversion via an email as either a; GIF or SHR format (you specify which).

If you download any other archives in the Graphics folders with the suffix; GSSK,
SHK, SDK or BXY - those are to be downloaded in binary file mode only and should
be unshruink with the ShrinkIt GS program. Same holds true for all archive files
ending in (.ACU)
