       @AzulCrescent in this situation, you could also say the train of thought got derailed, which is a common joke when your attention got diverted and you can't remember what you were thinking about. :-)

       @AzulCrescent I didn't get my first girlfriend until I was 27, and that relationship led to marriage and divorce (she cheated on me), and I've only got my second real relationship at 48 (6 years ago) that's leading to marriage this year. Be patient, be yourself, and don't give up!
