My collection of plow shares. Only one looks like it might be a dozer track shoe instead.Some are bent like they hit a massive rock, others broken, some have stuff welded onto them, they're different models, there's hardly any two that match up :)The springs are for a spring-tooth harrow, I have the entire harrow as well. Next project: A thumb for the mini-excavator.Because I've been kinda needing it for a while and now I do even more.In case you don't know what it is, it's the same as yours - an opposable thumb for gripping things. Try lifting a pencil without using your thumb. A Lithuanian one. This is interesting because the soil in the video looks much like ours.This is a shaker cage type machine for a self-built tractor with a belt PTO. PTO is more difficult (and expensive), but this is a relatively simple build that seems to work well. @smallsolar In some flats where balcony solar isn't allowed because the landlord is a bastard, people have been building solar tables, which is just a panel with four legs. There is no rule against having a table on your balcony and no rule what a table has to be made of. You'll probably find many pictures if you search for "solartisch".They can be used as table as well (best use a table cloth to avoid scratching the glass, although it is pretty tough).

@piggo Yup, garlic is easy. We had some in the chaos garden last year that just overgrew with weeds and I just mowed it all down and threw it on the compost. This spring they came back there on their own. I used it to fill the gaps in my garlic patch (the one on the right).

Making a trailer hitch for the lawnmownster.You can buy those, but they are made of cheese and have some weird hitch that only fits the matching cheese trailer and none of mine.Getting to play with the new cold cut chop saw. It really doesn't like long flat cuts and you can't clamp the piece rotated when cutting mitres. Almost ready for testing. The critical part was a method of quickly attaching and removing the hitch.I've changed from my original idea with the hooks a bit and made two welded bolt adapters that remain on the frame. The rod at the top gets seated in the grass collector bag arms, then is swung down for the tangs on the frame to meet the bolt adapters and secured with two wingnuts.It's quite sturdy, I've stood on it to test 😁As usual, all made from scrap metal found around the farm.#Welding #TrailerHitch #Mownster #DIY #Metalworking #Homestead #ScrapMetal #SalvagePunkj
