       @Loyal It's often a problem with the ribbon cable, or the ribbon cable's contact. Having tinkered with a few Nintendo DS models, I know it's always a delicate operation.

       @Loyal Unfortunately, I don't have any specific tips. :0)I would suggest trying a step by step approach. Did your mod include the ribbon cables, yes/no? Are they functional? Have you tried other ribbon cables? Have you reinstalled all the original parts to see if that works?I think you can find specialized websites on the subject, with forums, etc..

       @Loyal Regarding the ribbon cables, yes, the fact that they may have been subjected to pressure during reassembly could have damaged them. The fact that your buttons stopped working.. when they worked perfectly before the mod, is significant. The mod could have been flawed from the start.You can find batches of DS units for parts at affordable prices these days. Perhaps that could help.But first, my "suggestion" would be reverting to the original configuration to see if it works.
