       I thought Firefox was having some weird rendering bug where a new frame was rendering offset from the previous or something.Then I noticed that this is actually responsive. Apparently, rendering pages as partial overlays over the previous page is now a "feature".

       If only HTML provided some simple mechanism to enable users to navigate from one page to another without having to render it in an overlapping div.

       @lanodan I honestly don't know what the designers behind this kind of this thing are thinking. Looks like they're trying to make things look cool in some way, but "usability" is probably not in their dictionary.

       Hint: It doesn't matter how much you spy on users with telemetry, tracking and all that sort of crap, you'll never hear about the features that they're missing. You'll never know things they wish they could do and can't. You'll have no clue as to things for which they use some external tool as band-aid.

       I really don't understand why fastcgi fell out of favour. There's no real successor. wsgi is deeply integrated into Python and basically unusable for any other language. And there's no other successor or alternative. It's just fallen out of favour and left a huge gap.

       @navi An http proxy isn't a successor, it's something that already existed and very sensitive to edge cases in parsing, nuances in headers, etc. For example, see HTTP request smuggling.

       @navi There's just so many little nuances that need to be taken into account for a reverse proxy… the proxy and the application might look fine when audited separately, but might have discrepancies in how they determine request length, or in trusted headers. It's not really something you can mix and be sure it'll all be fine.

       @ariadne Looks pretty nice, and audacious is really pleasant to use on the desktop. How do you add files to queue on a mobile interface?
