@fdroidorg in a way, this may be a good thing. No, put down the pitchforks and torches. Hear me out. This is going to explode demand for Linux and alternative operating system phones. Profits and therefore resources for additional development may explode in that space, and I plan to help it. My current Android phone is less than a year old, but my next phone is not going to run Android. And I have owned a phone from that little fruit company and I'm not going there ever again!

@AzulCrescent I love reading sarcasm when it's properly flagged. I love using sarcasm, but I try to always properly flag it as such. Irony, on the other hand, either is implicit and succeeds or it fails. Using either one to hurt people is a misuse of language. And may I say that I love your art!

@davidrevoy I believe this should be entirely up to you. Personally, if you make four individual panels and join them in a post, that's much easier for me to read because I'm older than some rocks. But the more important thing to me is do you enjoy what you're doing, and are you doing it in a way that avoids burning you out. Because what format you choose to post it in is far less painful than having you burn out and stop posting!

@grote pretty, but I do not see how you start a manual update scan of the repos. Or how you do manual app updates. Those were normal procedures I do at least once daily with the older version. It should be interesting to see how this differs.

@dosnostalgic oubliette Not the one that got trademarked, but the earlier one that fit on a single floppy and was an RPG in the style of a roguelike dungeon dive. I must have burned up two weeks worth of hours on that thing. 😁

@farah @davidrevoy I personally know several people who are fantastic artists and draw, paint, or fabricate artifacts and some who sculpt and some tattoo artists and they are all amazing. But amazing as they are. Nobody makes cartoons anything like this guy. This stuff is magic about magic. 😁 I can never get too much of it.

@dosnostalgic I remember having a tight and tiny little sparkjet printer back in the 1970s. I think between the time I ordered it and the time it arrived, the company stopped selling them. It came with pretty good documentation, so I wrote a little TSR print driver to make it emulate a plotter so I could use a CAD program and make black and white plots. If you had adequate documentation for this printer, I don't see any reason why you couldn't write your own print driver. Finding that documentation is the challenge now. I wish you the best of luck.

@RadicalGraffiti Originally, streets were made for people. With occasional traffic of horses or carts, but mostly for people. I don't know how we allowed ourselves to be convinced that people have no right to streets. But I suspect that whoever was behind that made and sold cars for a living.

@thelinuxEXP I have de-googled every piece of equipment I have except my phone and I'll de-google that as soon as it ages off of Android. (Fairphone and Ubuntu Touch look good.) So I am absolutely not going to go to a Google controlled site where I can be tracked and predicted and my data collected and sold to the highest bidder. That said, Linux has more apps than any other operating system I know, and I know a lot of them, because I've been doing this stuff since the 1960s. The thing is, most of them that are successful are non-commercial and free, and therefore people who have your money at heart don't want to talk about them. Also, while a few of them do have sponsorship from a company and perhaps support or direct sourcing from that company, many of them are supported by a small team or even a single individual. That makes this application space so totally different than every other that anyone is familiar with unless they live in it. This is where I live, in the application space that supports freedom and user control. And while I can't see your video, the title of your post is one that I find appealing. Is your video available from a non-tracking site, perhaps a Peertube site?
