       @fribbledom I wrote code for a Honeywell Bull DPS, which had a maximum binary size of 32KB. We had to write the code modularly, so we could swap out binaries in order to make bigger apps.After that for an IBM S/36 which had 256KB of RAM, followed by an IBM 4341 which was absolute luxury, which no direct limits anymore.

       @ChrisMayLA6 I went Linux only in 2014, and have been using OpenOffice (now Libreoffice) since. Not 100% compatible (I sometimes have some odd formatting when I open a docx) but on the whole it works fine.I've used Windows as a virtual machine for a few years because of client requirements (mainly Outlook an Visio) but that is no longer an issue too.
