       i wrote a rust microkernel with a federation userspace layer where clusters of trusted machines quietly lend each other idle resources inspired by gift economics. lend your spare capacity, earn the right to borrow. machines find each other automatically on the same network, bond by consent and shared keys, stay fully independent.a solar machine lends freely at noon and pulls back at dusk. computation drifts toward wherever the cleanest cheapest energy is.

       i don't know that this scales, that it is practical,  but it is a thought experiment i believe is worth having that other ways of doing things are possible.systems can find each other via signed beacons if on the same network (lan/wifi/mesh). systems trusting each other is a deliberate human act.the kernel itself is built on a capability-security model where authority flows only through explicit tokens

       this is not something i plan to continue working on, mostly a proof of concept for a wild idea that i had. i can't develop it further on my own, i can't really defend its practicality, i can only present a different perspective on what the core of an operating system could be by design.maybe i have no idea what i'm doing at all. anyway it's out there in the world. critique it, play with the idea, use it to inspire thinking outside the box.
