       Found this article from May 2005 calling “ransomware” a scam. Which, I mean, it is. How to combat this fancy new attack? “Physical backups should be made of all critical data, he said, and stored in a different place than with the computer.” Imagine that.        @david_chisnall @stefano People just don’t seem to care anymore. They’ll happily pay double or triple for worse service from a big name. Companies like mine that provide personal service get the shaft because we’re not screwing people over I guess.
