       Teaching a session on critical reading this morning - doing my bit to counter the "just get AI to do it" attitude some students have. Also, y'know, getting people to learn how to question what they read is always useful. No, not everything you read online is true...shocking, I know. #Workposting

       Being trans in the uk: a short tale of two cultures.Go to shop for snax, notice horrific transphobia on the newspaper front pages. Buy snax, go to till. Older cashier lady gives a big smile and calls me "love" and "sweetheart" the whole time we're chatting as she's pricing my stuffs. The media wants to make it look like everyone hates us. The truth is most ppl are actually just fine with trans ppl existing and getting on with our lives.Don't believe the lies.
