       @niconiconi The things being called 'heat pumps' instead of just 'air conditioner' all of a sudden was very confusing to me until I found out that the reversing feature is like a $300 upgrade in the USA for no good reason

       @nadia For this random fan I found that claims 142m³/min you'd need 45½ 120mm 3000rpm industrial Noctuas (186.7m³/hour). Almost a nice 7×7 grid!The ceiling fan in our lounge room doesn't seem to turn as fast as it used to though, you could probably beat that one with like four.

       @whitequark @arcterus I looked it up once and it turns out the reason you can't do this (in practice) is Microsoft Windows. Windows clients will always try to resolve tld to tld.internal. (or whatever your connection's DNS suffix is) first. And now it's too late to change it.On the bright side this does mean Microsoft can't ask you to go to https://microsoft.. So I'm not mad about it. That's pretty funny.
