       @stux I saw one that was very curious. It was a Markov chain bot. (Not an LLM, definitely old school Markov chains). It was also followed by another bot.While the report was processing, it started spamming news stories, about 10 times an hour. Looked like it was probably paid to flood timelines with propaganda?I think you guys need more auto flagging tools, and maybe a stricter admission process. Looked to me like state funded media disinfo. They are going to have more human hours than you.

       @finner @Stellar I feel like a caveman still using ext4 on my system sometimes. I will eventually try something with copy on write... maybe. Or I could just keep running on the edge with the absolute laziest backups I can achieve. Haven't been bitten yet! Haha

       @eniko I gotta disagree on this one. Banning isn't going to work, but they actually have identified a real problems this time. It's just an ineffective and harmful solution.The real solution is to sue these companies into the ground for their harmful practises they know they are committing. They know they are harming many people, not just kids.The post mortem on Facebook during the Rohingya genocide, and the willfully ignorant response from Facebook is enough to deserve their end.

       @IzzyOnDroidI think the next front in FOSS is figuring out how to make it financially stable. We simply aren't going to get where we are trying to go unless we can start convincing people to fund FOSS over paying for SaaS.I honestly don't know the solution, but honestly Izzy, I think everyone that works with you being able to get paid to work full time on this stuff would be a perfectly reasonable ask.I think the tools need to get way more accessible for that to happen though.@andymouse

       @foolishowlHonestly, I think it would cost society less if certain people didn't work. Aside from people who currently work in normal jobs but don't do anything to a high enough standard as to avoid someone redoing their work... There are entire industries where I would like to pay everyone to retire permanently.@dalias @datenwolf @aeva

       @xirin2u I only ever sub to steaming services long enough to watch what I want and then come back when they have something new I want... And never two at once.Typically, this means it's always free trials, because they end up allowing me a new one by the time I consider coming back around.

       @wolf480pl @unfa ah yes that seems more appropriate now that I reread it!Not having an expected partition is pretty worrying...Lots of things could cause that, but the fast that comes to find feels unlikely "did you swap out your primary drive?" Is not high on the list of possibilities here...
