       So, we're in the process'a making a homebrew DnD (5e, 2024 rules) campaign, set in the Eberron setting. Can't promise it's gonna be good, we've never done this before, but well, I hope it'll turn out fine ^^Currently we're playing in another DnD campaign, which seems like it's gonna take a few months still, so while we're already preparing the new campaign, we're not gonna start't as long as the current one's still going on. But, while two'a the players as well as the DM from the current campaign're interested in playing our campaign, the remaining player said she doesn't wanna do such a long-term commitment again. we may've another player who wantsa rry't out but also unsure'f she can do't long-term. So we'dve room for ~1-2 more PCs without the party getting too unwieldy in size.In current campaign, we play every two Sundays at 12:00 CET for 5-6h, including lunch break. Our campaign might be similar, we might do slightly shorter sessions'f we can manage playing more "efficiently" (get less sidetracked from the game), we could also move'ta Saturday, or a different time'a the day maybe. N might prefer doing't every week rather than every two weeks'f that works out. Meetings would happen via Signal or Jitsi video calls, scheduling n gameplay texting in a Signal group chat, n we have a Foundry VTT set up.Interested? DM us on here or Signal ^^

       Wir hätten gerne mehr Freund*innen, mit denen wir uns auch offline regelmäßig treffen können. In so fern wäre's vlt ganz gut, wenn wir mehr Leute kennenlernen würden. Auf Fedi waren wir bisher nur so mittel-erfolgreich damit (wobei, wenn jemand das hier liest und sich mal mit uns treffen möchte, DM me), deswegen unsere Frage: Hat jemand Empfehlungen für queere Treffen oder dergleichen in Berlin? Bzw. generell gute Möglichkeiten, um {queere, neurodivergente, linke, vegane} Personen in der Umgebung kennenzulernen?Wir haben natürlich auch selbst schon ein bisschen recherchiert, den TRIQ kannten wir schon, aber die haben nicht so wirklich Gruppen, die für uns passend sind, beim LSVD stand was von einem Jugendtreffen (bis 27 Jahre, also noch in unserer Altersgruppe) in Reinickendorf, und der AHA hat die Qyouth-Gruppe und den Spieleabend. Idk, Erfahrungen, Einschätzungen dazu?

       I think it's neither fair nor ethical that we just exist without improving the world in a world where "no ethical consumption under capitalism" holds true. We may do harm reduction by e.g. being vegan, n harm reduction's a good thing, but it's not harm removal. So in lieu of not existing anymore, I think we should try improving the world enough for everyone (whether human or non-human creature) that we can "offset" the harm we cause by consuming.Problem: We don't know how. How do we get started on activism n trying to enact systemic change? "Go to protests" seems like the most obvious answer but the pointa protests is to be loud n we're very noise-sensitive so we've avoided those so far. So what else can we do? Are there groups/orgs we could join? Actions we can take? Does joining a party (Tierschutzpartei or Die Linke maybe, for anyone familiar w German politics) make any sense or is working from within the "liberal democracy" system bound to fail? N what do we give our money to (we're by no means rich n so far we've been giving somea our money thru GWWC in hopes that they'll pick the correct charities for us but Idk'f there's better option, in the end it's not like we even have like a hundred to spare every month currently so the impact we can do that route's certainly limited but well money n time are the two resources we have, we also do give cash to homeless people on the street or in public transit when we have any on us)?

       Hey Fedi, I'm curious, where does the distinction between arcane n divine magic (i.e. mages and clerics) originate from? Was't DnD, or sth that predates it?A lotta fantasy staples can be traced back'a Tolkien's works, but the wizards there all had religious significance (they were Maiar, effectively low-ranking angels), so I don't think the arcane/divine dichotomy was already present there (the magic was often less concrete n more mystical anyway). But a lotta modern fantasy works, notably DnD, various RPGs n RPG-inspired anime etc. have such a distinction.        Hey Fedi, before the pricing was revealed we were considering getting a Steam Frame when't releases but at that price point it's just not affordable or justifiable for us. So, we're considering getting a much cheaper headset on the used market. We don't need standalone, we'd play via our Linux PC (currently running CachyOS). Options we've considered were the Valve Index n the PS VR 2. Index has much better software support, n presumably better tracking n possibly better controllers. It's also more expensive. PS VR 2 has bad software support but there are ways for making't work on Linux apparently, no idea how well it'd work tho. It's cheaper n has the better displays.Games we'd wanna play try out include Beat Saber, HL Alyx, Hellblade, Superhot, n Idk, maybe some other things. We'd also like'f we could get lenses for the headset w the same strength as our glasses.Thoughts? Which one should we get? Maybe one we didn't mention? We'd like avoiding Meta headsets I think unless they're good for PC VR n can be used without connecting the software on them to the internet.Boosts appreciated!#DuckDuckFedi
