       @stux I try to think about problems by constantly asking "but what's below THAT problem?"And it keeps boiling down to people voting based on:- Party loyalty - Conspiracies- Misinformation - Us vs ThemInstead of voting for candidates who actually have plans to solve real problems.

       @stux I think too many people will be looking at the red on the outdoor thermometer & seeing the wildfires come over the horizon and will STILL blame "the woke radical left" for their problems.Convince people that the blender is 'woke' instead of being powered by billionaires & they will believe you.Humans are exceptionally good at hating anyone they think is different. We hate difference more than oppression.

       @stux Raising my kids has been a unique insight. They defaulted very young to being suspicious or even scared of people who look or act different.It has required active, intentional parenting to de-program that instinct. I don't know if that initial reaction was societal or nature, but it was there & we had to actively teach against it.I think this is why tolerance isn't as widespread as we wish it was & why it's so easy to turn people against eachother.

       @stux What I'd like to see next as a mitigation feature against that is the ability to take a snapshot of my data so that if my instance is taken over I can use that snapshot to easily get set up on a new instance.My follows & recent posts at least.
