@Dan_Ramos meh, scrounging for something to watch, no referencing reviews, them being out of the latest film we hoped to watch, then forgetting to return something and dealing with late fees. It was a middling experience. True peak was streaming 10-15 years ago when it was still cheap and ad-less. Oh and before they hired all those damn woke writers.

@mcread which makes you wonder if it's because they can't drink because they're all on SSRIs? They have no desire to drink because they escape reality in other ways (gaming, porn, weed)? My stepson and all his friends just graduated high school and have been DnD players throughout. Even with extremely attractive young girls who would have bullied guys in my day for the same thing. I don't think it ever occurred to them to party with alcohol. Proliferation of vaccine induced autism spectrum? 🤔

@quad I use Linux, CachyOS. I simply use a 6 digit number as my password. No alphabet nor special characters. I don't know how it would react to a four digit or less password, but it's never asked me to change it nor make it stronger.

@Dan_Ramos I'm slowly buying overly expensive PC parts over time and plan on getting a Steam Machine for the living room but I feel gamers with less money might start doing things like jailbreaking old PS4's and putting SteamOS on them, returning to retro consoles, or finding other ways to be frugal. I don't think Cloud gaming will be as big of a money maker as they think, especially since these morons can't make any hit new games anymore.

@quad Apparently the optical disks marked as M-Disc have a significantly longer shelf life (theoretically 1000 years?) I've been beginning to backup my GoG games on them. I also store my regular data and media in additional backups. Proton Drive for the cloud backup and an external drive as well. I'm running out of space in both (3tb). Want to build a NAS, but with prices the way they are, it's like building a high end gaming rig 😩
