       currently working on:* legal name & gender — I don't want to mess with my passport 6 weeks before a trip (Berlin for Local-First Conf in July), so this is on hold.* voice — i have fantastic control over pitch (but my upper range is awful after years of abusive singing and general neglect) and good control over resonance, so now it's just a matter of habituating. i can speak with good pitch like 80% of the time, and good resonance like 2% of the time.* makeup — got some to try, haven't tried, waiting until i have some time by myself because i haven't done this in 20 years and feel a ton of shame about it* clothes — i have a few cool dresses and skirts now, enough that i can spend all week in affirming outfits. huge boost to my disposition. (also, tights! finally found some that fit my tall frame.)* facial hair — waiting until the fall to begin laser, to avoid sun exposure. sad about this. one of my strongest sources of dysphoria (so much so that i was conscious of it waaay before i ever started wondering if i was trans)* social — i'm out to everyone except my in-laws, who i believe are quietly transphobic. they're next. tomorrow? wish me luck.what else should i be doing/trying?
