       @stux @pheonix Thinking cynically, Meta enabled E2EE so they could ride the goodwill of enabling it. A short wait meant more users, enhancing the social network lock-in. Now they can disable it to get more data, and if you want to leave, even more people are sucked in whom you have to convince to leave.With everything we know about Meta, I have faith this strategy was laid out in an internal document somewhere.

       @SwiftOnSecurity Once you know E=mc^2, it’s “simply” a problem of figuring out the best way to take the easiest form of mass and convert it into energy.I think it was mentioned in Oppenheimer; everyone knew an atomic weapon was possible, and it was a race for how, not if.
