@eff Thank you for all you do, vital and unsung. Not what you're speaking to here, I think, but wanting to sound off: I'm fantasizing a suite of capabilities with little or no barrier to entry for elderly cognitively challenged folks like myself that handle email, messaging, and Zoom-like teleconferencing without surveillance, ideally meshed seamlessly with Mastodon without the need to either "sign in with Google" (Jitsi Meet version owned by a corporation) or "just set up your own server" (did I mention cognitively challenged). Too much of the Fediverse is still sparsely inhabited janky apps for adoption by non-techies (who are legion).
