       @TechConnectify I would love to know how you figure this stuff out. If I just type "what are the trade-offs of a hybrid engine?" into Google, I could never arrive at the picture you present.(I don't think I could have, even before the current infestation of AI slop results. I just don't know how to get started on answering a deep question in a domain I'm not familiar with).From your other videos I know you're good at reading patents to figure out how stuff works, but this goes beyond that.

       @mntmn I'm glad. these days I think it's necessary for tech project leaders to report their "actual feelings", right in the documentation.as a user, I want to know whether or not, one day years down the line, I'll find I was inadvertently supporting a fascist the whole time I was using some project.I'm really suffering these days from constantly needing to switch away from projects when the leaders finally show their cards. "woke" projects are lower maintenance.

       @mntmn in my software dev career, since 2005 or so, I often heard from fellow devs that "open source is just a business model".at the time I thought this was a cynical and greedy view. and also silly. do these people also think a bird is just a shitty fish?I should have taken it as a warning. the industry would never stop until open source WAS part of the business model. if someone says a bird is just a shitty fish, maybe they intend to flood the world
