       A supplier suggested I use AI for my technical emails and like dude. Skill issue.Writing 800 word technical incident reports and recommendations is like breathing to me. I can send two of those in the course of a meeting about something else. Cross me and they will become 2000 word emails. AI bros wish it could be as autistic about systems integration as me.        The workflow still couldn’t run with 128GB so it’s off to the HPC cluster she goes to run the job with 2TB.But at least we were able to run some integrity verification passes that needed more than 32 gig.

       If I didn’t already know that that Rationalism/EA/LessWrong was a Get Rid Of Slimy girlS Club for self-obsessed pseudo-intellectual pricks who outgrew the treehouse, I might be more surprised that their stance on AI is “what if I was so clever I thought of a monster under the bed so scary even I got scared”, rather than “maybe it’s bad that the overall Shannon entropy (i.e. amount of meaning that can be conveyed) of recorded information might be decreasing for the first time since writing was invented”.
