       At $work, people recently started actually writing documentation. Some of it is even useful -- I would definitely benefit from it if I joined next week. However, they aren't writing it for humans to learn -- they're doing it for the Slopilot to generate better code.When it was about helping others learn, understand, and find their way around, they couldn't be bothered to do anything. But when it's for their shiny new toys, they're really putting effort in writing text! They even review this text!I think it says a lot about the people working in this industry. They don't care about people even when they say they do. They only care about playing with tech. I don't know how much longer I'd survive in this kind of environment.#IT #LLM #GenAI

       TIL #Inkscape has "Align and Distribute" feature, where one can select several items and have them aligned or distributed evenly. To be honest, now I'm surprised I never thought about searching for it.

       I've been developing and maintaining software for more than 2 decades now, dealing with tech from PHP to Scala.But what am I going to do next, if I no longer fit the IT world, apparently run by people only interested in making more money at the expense of others? I wish so much that there were companies hiring professionals, true engineers that actually care about quality and reliability.
