one of these popped up for $25 and I've been wanting one for years so I had to do itthis is a Dallas Semiconductor ibutton which they have affixed to a ring, they were supposed to be highly durable and potentially purvasive hardware authentication tokens. Par for the course for sun they feature an actual jvm which run applets with can crypographically authentice you. It has many hardware features- a battery, which provides an rtc to prevent backdating authentication fames. They're designed to last ten years on a keychain, they're tamper evident if opened and if you open them anyway a microswitch zeroes out the keys. They also zero out on extreme temperatures and unusual voltage conditions.The ibuttons are still made though no one ever like made them work as a login token for linux or whatever, so you're more likely to find one being used as a key for a safe or a forklift.

alright time for another hell for mastodon release, small again* passing -h at start shows a help line* -n flag disables the streaming timeline- it does not provide a backup non-streaming backed mode but manual pages can be browsed with /home etc. Some servers don't have websocket support and this will allow demoing hell in that case* /furl fetches targeted url as a status, also accept urls directly* ?multipoll hint creates multiple choice polls* on plan 9, hell now publishes a /srv/hell.cmd. Attach with 'con -C /srv/hell.cmd' or write commands with a newline to it* pause for 15 seconds on timeline errors instead of retrying as fast as possibleAs always downloads for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Plan 9 are available on https://hell.limitedideas.org

small follow up update to hell was released[-s srv] can now set custom srv nameAsync output for streaming timeline prevents console from locking up, stream from disconnecting if main output window is scrolled up.Now boots and works normally if consctl can't be opened on 9, allowing hell to work in 'win' in acme.Fixed a crash when you tried to edit a message with duplicated mentions.Shows number of goroutines in /stats
