       @dangillmor He thought it would be like Venezuela. And in Venezuela he seems to still think he chose the leader, when he got Maduro's VP by default because they grabbed Maduro and left. If they do that in Iran they get young Khameni, strait of Hormuz still closed, and an accelerated nuclear program.

       @Gargron This would appear to mean that if the US sanctions someone (say, for the offense of being an official of the International Criminal Court investigating crimes in Palestine) that person becomes a non-person in Germany, if Apple and Google are ordered to refuse their business?

       @stux It's stock market manipulation. He'll let his cronies know when he's about to post something claiming Peace Is At Hand so they can buy shorts on oil futures or bet on the prediction markets just before the announcement. Then he'll make threatening noises to make the market move the other way. Since he has no idea how to fix things, it seems he has decided to just profit off of the chaos.
