@siderea@universeodon.com I always considered the smart inbox, or whatever it's called, to be a lark and not something anyone would actually rely on. I always disable it, wherever it lives (like outlook, for example) because it's not only generally poor, it's also basically useless. I never asked to go hunting for my emails. Just put them in the inbox like a sane application.Interesting to see such a clean sample, though. Feels vindicating. To know it empirically sucks.

I was introduced to a person the other day. When she found out I was in tech she told me her son worked at Meta. I was unable to stop my face from deadpanning. She saw it and asked. I decided there was no sense pretending it didn't happen so I told her I work in #infosec and see the damage #facebook does and allows to happen to people all in the interest of hoarding wealth. I went on to say the only thing as sociopathic as #Meta is US banks.I'm sure she thinks I'm an ass, as will her son when she inevitably tells him, but fuck them. Working for Meta is not something to be proud of.
