       tonight's watch was Robocop and some thoughts:I thought it was more of a teen movie than it turned out to beit's also interesting how the status quo doesn't change at all by the end of the moviealso I feel like two different people could draw entirely different conclusions from the movie. It doesn't feel that far away to draw a "capitalism is good, you just need to get rid of the few corrupt executives, also the police is underfunded which causes crime" from it even though it intends to say the opposite...in that way it mirrors my feelings on Starship Troopers, which could also be seen as a "infantry fuck yeah, love military rule" even if it's about the oppositeI guess that's the price of subtlety not spelling things out explicitly

       had the weirdest dream tonightI made a fork of some open source project and did a one-line code change and for some reason they really wanted me to relinquish ownership of it and get my ssh key so they were chasing me.They had eyes everywhere and whenever I fled through some apartment building or backyard there would be two more people to spot and pursue me, even ignoring physical harm from the gun I acquired somewhere along the way. I had no idea why they wanted this so bad and at the end I gave up my credentials and then the owner of the original repo, who looked like Hammond from Jurassic Park, was like "that wasn't so hard" and threw a big party where I was invited??Did I, like, accidentally prove P=NP or something??
