Oops, your AACS Host Certificate has been revoked in the latest media key block versionVery relevant to a post going around. Not firmware modification, just the way how AACS is built, and all Blu-Ray/HD DVD drives are meant to handle it in a standardized way on some level.I got so tired of fighting it manually I end using MakeMKV to trivially dump and decrypt every disc that I come across. BD+ protections, fix-up tables, and bus encryption enable (BEE) flags have made it so I don't trust my own methods and routines to be complete enough.Thankfully my HD DVD/Blu-ray combo drive has an AACS Bypass patch in the firmware such that I can always grab keys from discs, even if the media key block is brand new. Even then, that's not all guaranteed to last forever, it just gives you a better chance long-term.

It wasn't until I came back to Arch for a few specific systems that would be too cumbersome to compile everything on (or set up a dedicated binhost for) that I learned that Arch depends on SystemD. Arch is intentionally minimal, right? You'd think it would benefit from choice of init system, considering SystemD does so much. This dependency surprised me.

What's a relatively simple coding project you'd recommend?I'm looking to get back into coding. @Jes@labyrinth.zone I really wish this caught on. USB-C + PD + DP Alt Mode is SO handy, and without having to get one of those awkward Thunderbolt add-on cards that are generally poorly supported and limited to certain motherboards.

@Jes@labyrinth.zone Yeah! Hell, since it's just DisplayPort protocol with DP Alt mode, you could hypothetically drive three monitors with a single port and an MST hub. Besides that, DisplayPort adapts to anything with relative ease.Ahhhh, that would've been so sweet.
