       @stux It's a fun meme, but I'm not sure I buy into the implication. I'm assuming the comparison is the smartphone, with all the problems they carry. I like having one unit that can do everything, powered by a long lasting rechargeable battery. It's amazing carrying a fully(mostly) capable computer that fits in your pocket.Most of the detriments are caused by corporate media. That can be avoided. Avoiding it makes a smaller world, but it's still pretty big.

       @davidrevoy The overall concept applies to a lot of life. It's rooted in laziness one way or the other. You take shortcuts to speed up the process and end up screwing yourself. Like trying to get all the groceries in one trip. You overload yourself, and drop the stuff causing more work, when you would've been done if you just walked it one more time.It's a lesson that isn't easily learned. You know better, but the siren song of labor savings is a constant presence.
