       FYI, there's a serious flaw in the following argument:Whoever tries to slap a license on that code second is in violation of the first person's licensethat's not how copyrights and licensing work.  if two or more people independently come up with the same original creative expression, each one gets a separate copyright on it, and can license it accordingly.        FTR, I didn't mean to join the entire discussion, just to address a minor point about copyright within your earlier post.  I don't really know what the proof standards and requirements look like, I just know that independent works, no matter how similar, aren't supposed to infringe each other's copyrights.  this fact has nothing to do with LLMs.  using LLMs may bring about doubts about authorship, provenance, and independence, but those don't favor claims of infringement between works made supposedly-independently with LLMs.  which is not to say that they can't both be found to infringe on other preexisting works used for training the model; there's plenty of uncertainty there.CC: @skjeggtroll@mastodon.online @freshstart@hachyderm.io @neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk

       generate an email so it can be summarized by the recipients LLMbeing #ActuallyAutistic, I wonder...  would people be insulted receiving email with the bulleted points that LLM users would typically feed a (de)generator?  should it advise the recipient to feed them to an LLM if they'd prefer a textual version that could then be summarized back to bulleted points?I don't think I could actually write my emails like that, but ISTM it would be a fun experiment to run

       ontem tive a honra de finalmente conhecer pessoalmente @anna@friend.camp na Celebração do Software Livre no Brasilfoi muito bom rever tantes outres companheires de longa data nessa caminhada de luta pela liberdade de software.  uma reunião dessas pra falar de software livre como política, como movimento social, não (só) como tecnologia, dá um gás na gente.  foi um encontro pequenininho, não pude estender minha permanência em sampa pro pós-evento, mas teve um gostinho de FISL.felicitações à ASL por mais um ano na luta!

       há dias tem chovido bastante.  andou atrapalhando minha #caminhada.  ontem até ressuscitei a bicicleta ergométrica e pedalei em vez de caminharhoje tava fechando o tempo, mas saí pra caminhar confiando um pouco na previsão do tempoproblema: choveu.  nada muito sério, só chuvisquinho, apesar das trovoadassolução: levei guarda-chuva.  um homem prevenido vale por dois!novo problema: um homem que vale por dois não cabe direito embaixo do guarda-chuva 🙂ainda bem que não choveu muito.na real, a chuva me esperou chegar em casa.  agora tá chovendo com mais vontade.  ufa!
