       @EUCommission Then how about you make sure that platforms pull their own weight when it comes to protecting kids? All I keep hearing is data retention, mass surveillance, backdoors, operation-system-based age verification ... NONE of these work because actual culprits like meta and Xitter go scot-free!

       @EUCommission important note about bees: most of the pollination is done by wild, not honey-producing bees. So anyone who tries to "save the bees" by setting up beekeeper equipment outside might do even more damage when their honey bees drive the wild bee population away.

       @itsfoss @itsfoss damn. Just yesterday, I was pondering how am enduser could protect themselves from from formerly good but suddenly malicious packages. And I think that "showing how long it's been since a package's PKGBUILD last changed" is not enough. We need a check if there has been any sort of long pause in the maintenance activity of a package. Otherwise, an attacker could just make a benign change, then push the attack update right after so that the check script simply skips over.

       @itsfoss Okay I love that thing! It's so delightfully ugly... is it weird that I find CLI tools that make my laptop look like a 1970s spaceship status screen just incredibly sexy? I mean, look at that! It shows colorful ascii dot lines to indicate busy-levels of net traffic or CPU work, or RAM occupation! 😍 How cool is that?

       @itsfoss I love that you can see all the systemvariables. It's really neat for any sort of troubleshooting. On the other side, it seems to be missing a ressource usage overview like the one in Systemmonitor in KDE? I mean the one that shows all the free and occupied CPU, RAM, storage, net traffic, etc. They are kinda essential. These infos are the first I look at whenever I think "Why is this application stuttering? Why is my laptop suddenly so hot? Why is the website not loading? ..."
