       To give this some context: since October of last year I've been fantasizing about a nomadic life.Not necessarily "van life", but not chained to one place either. All the things I want and need in my car. Able to travel to a new destination and explore it on a whim.I backed off, believing it was a bipolar impulse. Or at the very least, a foolish idea. But I've been sitting with it for months, with a clear head, and it isn't either of those things.It's just scary, and inertia is comforting.

       Today's nature share: Sierra Currant (Ribes nevadense). I saw a bunch of this in the forest while hiking along snowmelt streams. Its leaves smelled incredible -- a bit minty -- but I was too early in the season to sample its berries. #bloomscrolling #nature #hiking

       Today feels like a good day for real talk. I can't keep doing Linux For Everyone. I can't be surrounded by tech all the time, or allow myself to slip back into that workaholic role. I've tried to build several personal brands, and I always end up pouring EVERYTHING into them, and I lose myself, and get burned out on life. I don't consider reviving L4E to be a mistake, though. The universe had another lesson to teach me, and I'm grateful for it. This is just not the right path for me.

       I think I'll have to upgrade my Digital Ocean droplet, huh? I have PeerTube and Ghost running on it, and every time I upload a new video, it crashes everything. Then the CPU is spiked for up to 30 minutes while it does the transcoding and associated video upload tasks.

       3 weeks left. I am slightly overwhelmed with everything I still need to do. Pruning my clothes way down, continuing to sell/donate all this stuff that's gathering dust. Cleaning, planning, packing. Distilling belongings into whatever fits in the car. (Disclosure: no way I'm getting rid of my record collection, though. That will live w/ my brother in Utah.) It's getting real, now. There's a sense of pressure, of impending loss, a tinge of nostalgia for this season of my life that's ending.

       Pruning my clothes was a challenge. Aside from 2 hoodies and 2 rain jackets (and a bit of laundry not shown), here is all that remains! The part that feels good: I'm donating 3 bags of decent clothes to a local shelter. (The other bag will get taken to a clothing recycling center).

       I have been unsubscribing from multiple marketing / PR emails on a daily basis. I've been doing this for MONTHS on end, and there still doesn't seem to be any end in sight. Also, I suspect at least 25% of the "Unsubscribes" simply don't stick. Accidentally on purpose, I'm sure ...
