       (please dont boost this around too much, i still need to catch up on the follow requests ive received. this post is only really for new users visiting my profile for the first time to look at, sorta like an extension to my bio, although a few boosts from close mutuals shouldnt hurt)okay ive been getting a lot more follow requests lately (still not sure why), and i realize i dont have an introduction post yet, and ive been on fedi for almost a year now, so i thought i should write one!my name is amber (she/they/it), i am also known as kemona_halftau. im a trans, aroace, neurodivergent, half-cat half-fox being, who is interested in nintendo hardware (the wii u and 3ds in particular), programming, reverse-engineering, and meowing. i also like to draw, make music, design uis, and occasionally attempt to play video gamesim also an avid linux enthusiast. currently running arch with kde, but i have other devices running gentoo, mint, alpine, chimera, etc.a little more info about me:- i have audhd (autism+adhd) and dyslexia. i might misread/misinterpret things. i do my best not to.- i suffer from rsi (repetitive strain injury), which greatly hinders my ability to type and use a mouse. i might take a very long time to respond to something depending on how painful it is to type at any given moment.i dont know what else to put herefollow requests are vibe-checked and might take a very long time. dont be afraid to pm me in case i forgot about iti may mute/block users who exclusively talk about politics and/or aimeow! :3

       is there a way i could have a function similar to wl_display_dispatch which also polls multiple sockets at the same time, interrupting whenever there is activity over another socket, without using another thread and signalling? or better yet, is there a way to tell which file descriptor a libwayland client is using, without having to manually connect to the wayland display from the start?i could have an endless loop of doing wl_display_roundtrip and doing a non-blocking poll with a small delay in between each iteration of the loop, but that just seems inefficient, and i want my launcher to have as short of a delay as possible between an ipc message and being visible on the screen
