I view the whole LLM thing to be a byproduct. Hell, I view the whole "someone released a breaking change and didn't follow semantic versioning" to also be a byproduct.The problem was a critical bit of infrastructure, intentional or not, was the One Dude from the XKCD cartoon. We ignored the red flags, and are angry that we got hurt, instead of doing the work to fix all the other red flags that are out there.
