       @EUCommission Age limits aren't a solution. First of all, if implemented in the "usual" way of politics, they'll just lead to deanonymisation and MASSIVE targeted ads and profile building.Next, why not just take existing laws like GDPR, DSA, and whatever and force the major players to stop their current business model (which might lead to broken business models, and hey! - that's good, because all of their daily business is against the law*)Next, will you this time think of open source and free stuff (as in e.g. mastodon), or will you AGAIN forget to add safe harbours for stuff like freifunk in Germany?Commit to freedom and democracy, don't let big players help write laws where they actually benefit from.* no matter if tiktok, xhitter, meta, openai, ...

       @EUCommission Please include actual experts from @CCC or @digitalcourage or @eff or similar groups as well.If you can convince these folks with your plans and laws, they might actually BE good.Don't wait for them to participate, reach actively out to them!

       Anyone using signal from #fdroid here? Is it only me that get's a notification from signal:"A new version of signal is available."for days, before it updated in the guardian project?I somehow hoped it would be even faster on these alternative methods than in the public store....(But this bugs me with obtainuim as well: why are there new versions of some apps waaaay before obtainium has them available?)

       @gargron Oh, you can't imagine how glad I am right now. I've blamed UI/UX so many times for making stuff worse.So.Much.Worse.Be it with HTML in emails, be it with "simplification". And I've had discussions so many times. .. oh, and how I've have blamed (and still do) Apple for hiding technical details behind "convenience", for making users dumb.I know it feels ableist these days, but I am still convinced that technology (like, everything with computers) is too complex and too dangerous to be put in everyone's fingers. Or especially into politicians hands (see #fckplntr or every other surveillance dream or the recent signal "hack" or almost any regulation at the expense of the people instead of big tech or administration (at least in Germany))...So thanks again fur the UI part.🙏

       @EUCommission Yeah, but surveillance doesn't protect them. They need freedom. And choice.Just a reminder. And now go and regulate big tech (a)social media. Forbid palantir. Forbid mass surveillance. Forbid combustion engines/power plants. Have a very strong opinion on ad companies. Protect the environment. Go foss. Create free and open standards for "smart" stuff. Enforce GDPR. Enforce AI Act. .............And if possible go and do something to make the German school system become modern and inclusive, free from plain retention.

       @MurmeltHier Ich habe das Zeug aus dem Video einmal nachgekocht. Dafuer habe ich die Mengenangaben in verstaendliche Angaben umgerechnet:- 1,3l Wasser- 375g Natriumsulfat- 85g Natriumchlorid- 15g XanthanIch hatte obige Mengen abgewogen, das war dann sehr viel Restsalz auf dem Boden, daher habe ich noch ca. 0,1l Wasser hinzugefuegt.Das Xanthan habe ich zu schwungvoll reingekippt, das hat Klumpen gegeben, das werde ich bei der naechsten Fuhre anpassen. Ziplock-Gefrierbeutel funktionieren sehr gut, man darf nur nicht am Schieber spielen - dann laufen sie aus.....Ach: jeder Erwachsene von 30-50, denen ich das zum Testen in die Finger gedrueckt habe, hat Anmerkungen ob Konstistenz und Farbe (durch Xanthan) gemacht. Alle die gleiche. Die naechsten Packs werden also mit Farbe versehen.

       @MoritzGlantz Bitte achte auf die Spezifikation. Ich hatte mal einen Code, der statt 138.50 leider 138,50 ausgewiesen hat.Die Bankingapp auf der anderen Seite hat das ungültige Zeichen nicht als Fehler erkannt, sondern ignoriert und mir folgerichtig vorgeschlagen 13850 € zu überweisen.... 😱
