       @libreoffice ```apt install libreoffice-gtk3```That "fixes" it, so thank you for the suggestion, but still I must ask: why then does it look so crappy *by default*?It seems like a plausible desktop UI design from more than 25 years ago, so my guess is literally no one has touched those defaults since the late 1990s.

       @Gargron The best doorknobs I have ever "handled" are at the #gevangenismuseum in #veenhuizen in the #netherlands . These handles look and feel like the handle of an expensive knife. They installed them all over the building, and they are a joy to use. Obviously they are not knobs as such. But indeed why, oh why, would anyone choose a knob instead of a perfectly normal handle? What knobhead would do that?

       @fsfe No, I got a Dell XPS 13" *twice* and never regretted the preinstalled Ubuntu. Until recently, so I am seeking to replace Ubuntu. There never was the Windows tax for me.
