I've used my current vim config for well over a year and I just now learned that I had installed nvim-lspconfig, but never configured any language servers.Not that I needed it, but hey, now I get some inline warning in my go code.No idea yet how to actually see the message behind it, but also don't care enough :D

Why does everything have an app now?And most importantly: Why are they often the only way to do a thing?Why do I need an app to order bread for the next day?Why do I need an app to use a washing mashine???Like sure, give me a website, fine, I can accept that, but an app???This is ludicrous

I am once again realizing that there are no good navigation and general maps apps."Find places along this route" seems like such a no brainer, but already that is only available don't active navigation and then is super limited.Then come the additional criteria like "serves vegan food" or depending on the situation "has parking nearby". Surely there's enough data out there to be able to at least narrow this down a bit from the start.

While I'm on the topic of apps anyways. At least for the ones that I want to use, it'd be cool if more of them worked well offline.Like a fedi app that pre-caches the feed incl. images and queues posts to be sent, instead of throwing a connection error and giving up.RSS readers are generally pretty good at this. Okay, yeah, thinking about it I would mostly like to have a fedi client with explicit offline functionality :D

@merlin *Zero Trust architecture*I tried to use it for stuff, but kinda failed at things that I wanted to use with any kind of app, as those usually don't support mTLS, which was pretty sad :/

Just got recommended a video on how to coreboot a T480.I clicked on it, even though I already did that, and it taught me how add a UEFI payload! So I guess I found a little weekend project to do ^^

It's coreboot time!And I'm already learning stuff again.My understanding from Libreboot was that IFD, ME and GbE images always have to be included in the image I want to flash.But it seems like flashrom can be used with --ifd -i bios in order to not touch anything except the bios.Of course only works, if one doesn't want to change the IFD layout, which I don't, as I already flashed Libreboot previously, so I already have the Libreboot layout.Soooo, I think I can just compile and flash mainline coreboot :neobot_think:

Omg, this worked! I have a working EKD2 menu and UEFI shell!Now ofc the OS won't boot anymore, because it was installed legacy-only, but that's getting replaced now anyways.I ended up building a full image, based on the resources I found through the youtube video.It's a bit weird how the person does the build in a Dockerfile, but eh, it worked. Though I already modified it quite a bit to fit my liking.I'll test a few more things, now that I know it's working :3

@mmeier Haha :DIt was a random idea to include the remote host, as that variable is prefilled anyways. Yet I didn't know that it also does reverse dns :neobot_giggle:

@clerie Ich musste für mein pmOS Gerät eine extra WLAN SSID erstellen. 2.4GHz only und alles was fancy klingt abgeschaltet. Damit lief es dann stabil, maybe hilft das bei dir auch ^^

@clerie Bei meinem Gerät stand da leider nichts hilfreiches, aber im IRC chat wurde mir dann dazu geraten. 5 GHz Netze machen wohl noch oft Probleme. Man konnte auch mit NetworkManager die BSSID auf das 2.4er fixen, aber das hat bei mir gar nicht funktioniert.
