I know mastodon is filling up with linux tinkerers , but I'm joining the 'I love Linux quire'. Bought a macbook air from 2015 just to play with. Put Pop_OS! on it and tinkered a bit to get wifi working. Now it starts faster than my new work computer (filled up with #microslop). So the old Apple guy run laps around the HP from 2025. Cosmic is great on a low specs laptop. #computers #linux #pop_os

Paranoia? Satt och pratade med en nära vän igår om regeringens satsning på kameraövervakning. När jag säger att jag inte gillar den eftersom de bygger en infrastruktur som kan användas för realtidsövervakning om ex SD kommer till makten och går ihop med Palantir. Nämner Kinas social points...Vännen - men vaf*n, ge dig - du är ju paranoid.Tiden får utvisa vem som har problem - jag står kvar i min åsikt med tanke på krav på åldersverifiering, förbud mot krypterade meddelanden osv.Men hur tänker ni?

@itsfoss fck the us - put a geo block on downloads (pepl will go around, but that's not the maintainers prob). Let them work their way to 1984 without taking the rest of us down with them. Let them have the MS/Palantir os over there

I've been looking at cars for some while (really need a new one) and found a Kia Ceed from 2019. Any day soon someone will drive it to me so I can have a look at it. It's looks good on paper and pictures - but I'm picky on the driving experience. And scared... it may be one of the most expensive purchases I've done ever (exept for bying my apartment). What if it breaks down.... I have nightmares and dreams of rolling in comfort.
